This week Jack is joined by returning Shabcast guest, and writer of the brilliant blog Vaka Rangi (which is now part of Eruditorum Press), Josh Marsfelder. They talk Trek for a bit, then Aliens and James Cameron, and then get on to another of Josh's passions: the Titanic (movie and reality). It's a lively chat, loaded with fascinating, mythbusting details. Part 2 next week, in which Jack and Josh conclude talking Titanic and move off onto myriad other topics.

At last that guy who sings the unsettling theme music about burning down the world shows up for an interview, in which we completely fail to talk about him because this month we're just promoting Neoreaction a Basilisk. So instead we talk about accelerationism, hyperstition, and the end of the world. Neoreaction a Basilisk remains available on Kickstarter all May.

Phil is joined by Eruditorum Press's very own Jane Campbell to talk about the gnostic and mystical implications of Neoreaction a Basilisk, which as I'm sure you know by now is available on Kickstarter all through May. And if you enjoy these podcasts, you should really back it, because holy crap the hosting bill this month is mental.

Kevin & James kick off their Western series with a chat about the Gunfighters, a Dr. Who serial from '66. Before that, they have a great conversation about three Gary Cooper films. High Noon (1952) Man of the West (1958) The Hanging Tree (1959)

As James madly tries to get this up on the day he moves house, he reflects on how proud he is of this episode that includes killer cats, killer pianos, and an immortal Edgar Allan Poe. There's another segment in the film, too. God, what is it? Oh yeah, Hollywood robots. Just another day at the office for the internet's best and only podcast devoted to Amicus films. Enjoy.
