Pex Lives: A Doctor Who Podcast (City of the Dead)
James Murphy and Kevin Burns are both Certified Minor Internet Personalities with a shared love of Doctor Who. Explore the history of the show with them, as they watch classic serials and chat with each other each month about them. Each month, the pair will pick a classic serial to watch and then break down, exploring the themes, characters and production of the given story. There will also be jokes. Sometimes they may barely mention the show. New episodes every month.

Picking up from where they briefly left off, Lee & James discuss 1973's death cult biker folk horror action classic Psychomania.

The brilliant Daniel Harper joins the amazing Lee Russell and the senile James Murphy for a discussion on the last ever Amicus films. Drunken pilots keeping a tally of the pterodactyls they're shooting out of the sky, scantily clad cave women, WW1 submarine soldiers, and Peter Cushing's gargantuan drill.

Lee and James have reached the final Amicus horror, but not the final Amicus film. With this AIP joint, boasting the inimitable talents of Vincent Price in his pomp, they reflect on a flawed but worthwhile picture.

Lee Russell and James Murphy continue their terrifying journey through the filmography of Amicus Productions with their most fun episode yet. They talk a classic anthology with tiny murderous dolls, the voodoo-enthused extremities of a dismembered body, strange tailors (ooooh), and pretty young scissor wielding women. How can you not listen?

James and still-fresh new awesome co-host Lee Russell continue to look at the Amicus genre films with this Christopher Lee starring version of the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde story. Both were surprised at just how good this film was. It's available on YouTube in full if you want to check it out before listening.

City of the Dead: 11 - The House that Dripped Blood

We're back! A quick regeneration for one of us, but City of the Dead has returned from its mouldy tomb. James and new co-host Lee Russell (of the excellent They Must Be Destroyed On Sight podcast) are here to tackle the next Amicus horror film. They're viewing vampires! Watching witches! Seeing stranglers! And dealing with decapitators!

City of the Dead: 10 - Torture Garden

As James madly tries to get this up on the day he moves house, he reflects on how proud he is of this episode that includes killer cats, killer pianos, and an immortal Edgar Allan Poe. There's another segment in the film, too. God, what is it? Oh yeah, Hollywood robots. Just another day at the office for the internet's best and only podcast devoted to Amicus films. Enjoy.
