The Human Bondage team returns to take on George Lazenby's sole outing as Bond, in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. There's stuff we liked, stuff we didn't, and a great deal of fun was had in the conversation. Come for the breakdown of what may end up being one of the most faithful adaptation of a Fleming novel, stay for the Diana Rigg worship.

This is an unusual edition of not Pex Lives. We weren't able to get together and record your expected two hours plus of Dr Who related - tangentially Dr Who related - conversation because of, well, capitalism. Instead, what I've put together is somewhat akin to those Giant Annuals of comics you used to get as a kid, usually for Christmas. I thought the Pex Lives listenership might enjoy a little variety. With that in mind, I've got a conversation that Jack Graham, Kit Power, and Daniel Harper - who all of you know - had. It was unplanned and informal, just some friends shooting the breeze at half hour's notice. I've also got Gene Mayes and Kim Karr talking the first act of John Carpenter's career, from 1974 - 1981. A really good chat. Here's an article by Kit Power about the times that he talks about herein and the benefits of even a compromised Labour government over a Conservative one. http://gingernutsofhorror.com/my-life-in-horror/keep-it-up-son-take-a-look-a-what-you-could-have-won @thegenemayes @kimcreep @_Jack_Graham_@kitgonzo @danieleharper @jmcm1916

Gene and James discuss the original film work of Orson Welles in this, the year of his centenary. The programmed pictures are: The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) The Stranger (1946) The Lady From Shanghai (1947) The Third Man (1949) Mr Arkadin (1955) Touch of Evil (1958) The Trial (1962) F For Fake (1973)
It's a long one. Don't feel obligated to listen all at once. Enjoy!
Gene writes about Arkadin here: http://beingandtimelord.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/the-dossier-found-in-saragossa.html And F For Fake here http://beingandtimelord.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/for-james-art.html And a little more here http://beingandtimelord.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/a-for-eigentlichkeit.html

The day after learning of the passing of unparalled icon Christopher Lee, Holly B, Jack Graham, and James have a great unplanned, unstructured chat about the man's legendary life and work.

Don't say we didn't get you anything. Here is a very special Christmas gift for you. An undead gift. The best kind. This is one of the most fun chats we've ever had, all about the Frankenstein series that would prove such a huge influence on one of the best eras of Doctor Who. We talk about all the entries in the Hammer Frankenstein series, the Shelley novel, briefly go over the Universal monsters, and take in the kind of fascinating tangents that make talking to clever, witty people so fun. As you should know, Jack Graham blogs at Shabogan Graffiti Gene would rather people just leave him alone.
With extra thanks to @Hammerhorrorfan on twitter for this bonus episode's excellent artwork.

Pex Lives Supplemental is an occasional, informal bonus episode of your favourite Doctor Who podcast, that might have some light to shine on the Timelord’s adventures, or might not. This time Kevin and James have a great time tackling the original Star Trek crew’s films, from 1979-1991. Enjoy!
